Verba Shadow on Global Teacher Prize 2019

On 5th of October were held the annual international teacher’s award GLOBAL TEACHER PRIZE 2019. Not just teachers, but those who made an undeniable outstanding contribution to their profession. And Verba Shadow Show along with well-known Ukrainian performers were invited on Global Teachers Prize 2019.  As well as ONUKA, Oksana Mukha and Tina Karol with a military band. A real surprise was the performance of TNMK, together with the winners and finalists of the prize of the past two years. Especially for the Global Teacher Prize, the musicians, together with the teachers, recorded the track “Prokachay.”

Global Teacher Prize

The founders of the award are Varkey GEMS Foundation. The reason for the creation is to recall the importance of educators. Remind you that it doesn’t matter in which corner of the world you study. Your efforts are worth being recognized at the highest level. Ukrainian teachers fighted for a prize of 250 thousand hryvnias for a trip to GLOBAL EDUCATION & SKILLS FORUM 2020 IN DUBAI. The following teachers could participate. Firstly, those who prepared their students for any competitions, olympiads. They did not necessarily win them, but made a noticeable breakthrough in their educational achievements. Secondly, the teacher must implement innovative educational practices. Thirdly, to have enough achievements in the professional field, which are recognized by both colleagues and society. Further, and this, one of the key requirements, is to invest universal principles in the pupils, to instill a desire to study outside of school. And last one, to popularize the profession of a Ukrainian teacher.

The winner

Natalia Kidalova (teacher of English and foreign literature) won the GLOBAL TEACHER PRIZE 2019. She walked around about 3 thousand teachers who applied this year. And she was chosen for a number of reasons. In Natalya’s lessons, students not only study literature, but also rap. The teacher is a trainer and curator of the Southern Hub of the All-Ukrainian Democratic School Educational Reform Support Program. Also, due to her activity, the school won smart-class equipment.
