Online Fundraising with Verba

Recently, our shadow theatre Verba became part of a unique project that demonstrated the strength and warmth of American-Ukrainian relations. Initiated by David Sands, CEO of Stone Cold Production, we were invited to join the charitable initiative Helping Everywhere with Art, aimed at supporting Ukrainian children affected by the war.

The organizers planned to raise funds through artistic events, including a concert in Arizona scheduled for October 7, 2023. However, facing bureaucratic challenges and high transportation costs, we decided to perform online. Our production “The War,” available on our YouTube channel, became the centerpiece of the event.

Especially for the event, we prepared a thank-you video, and later David Sands visited Ukraine, where he filmed a series of interviews about Ukrainian volunteers in Chernihiv and Kyiv. Our partnership and joint efforts brought significant results: the “Children of Ukraine” concert and online auction raised $10,000 to support Ukrainian children experiencing the war.

Special attention was given by the organizers to the fact that every purchased ticket was not only a means of support but also an opportunity to provide psychological assistance and treatment to children who have lost parents or are in foster care.
